United States Vice President Mike Pence will visit Montana and Wyoming Wednesday and Thursday.
Pence will tour Yellowstone National Park and speak about combating illegal drugs in Billings.
The Vice President’s two-day trip includes a private fundraiser for Montana Republican U.S. Senator Steve Daines, who is up for re-election in 2020.
Pence will meet with Montana law enforcement as well to discuss plans about dealing with narcotics.
On Thursday, Pence will visit with Yellowstone Interior Secretary David Bernhardt. The visit aims to build support for the Trump administration’s proposal to rebuild the national parks infrastructure using money generated through oil and gas lease sales.
