Veteran organizing a local Pink Berets chapter

(Fremont County, WY) – Ambassador and advocate for The Pink Berets, Jeanine McNeill, recently relocated to Fremont County and is working to start a local chapter.

The Pink Berets is a Texas-based nonprofit dedicated to assisting female military servicemembers, veterans, and first responders afflicted with invisible injuries such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), military sexual trauma (MST), and combat trauma stress (CTS).

They offer, at no cost, a variety of programs including various therapies, retreats, and more. They are also very involved with giving back to the community, Jeanine noted.

“This program is very much needed out here,” Jeanine said.

In addition to seeking local members to join The Pink Berets, Jeanine is also looking for businesses and organizations here to partner with for programs like retreats and in-person therapies, such as equine, can be held here in Wyoming.

“I’m looking for something where we are together to heal,” she explained. “One of the worst things is feeling like we don’t belong.”

If you have any questions, would like more information or would like to connect with Jeanine, you can email her at [email protected] or call 970-988-8576.
