At 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9th Fremont County EMS and the Fremont County Sheriff’s Department responded to a vehicle vs. bicycle accident involving at the intersection of South Major Avenue and Riverview Road.
The accident involved an 11-year-old girl on the bicycle.
Fremont County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Sarah Trehearne provided County 10 with an update on the incident,
On the afternoon of July 9, 2019 an 11 year juvenile was riding her bicycle southbound on Major Avenue toward Riverview Road. The juvenile failed to stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection of South Major Avenue and Riverview Road. Upon entering the intersection, the bicycle collided into the side of a moving truck, which was travelling eastbound on Riverview Road. The crash result in minor property damage and minor injuries to the cyclist.
