The Fremont County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a hit-and-run that caused property damage on Young Road, just north of Riverton Saturday night.
The relative of a homeowner on Young Rd. told County 10 that a vehicle had sped down the road and hit both the Young Road street sign, as well as the resident’s mailbox. Witnesses said the vehicle description was difficult because it was dark, but confirmed it was a truck, saying it was possibly an older Ford.
The mailbox was completely destroyed and street sign was severed into two pieces.
This incident was on the small stretch of Young Rd. between Highway 26 and Burma Rd.
