    Due to the presumptive positive COVID-19 (coronavirus) case locally, a large number of updates, closures and more have been shared with County 10. In order to keep track of all of these changes and keep you informed, County 10 will add new updates to this post as they are shared with us. New updates will be added to the top of the list in each section.

    Events:

    Riverton Museum: “Build Your Own Telegraph” has been moved from March 21st to May 23rd.  Everything else regarding this program remains the same.

    Fremont County Archaeological Society: The ‘Comparing Two WY Incised & Burnished Rock Art Sites’ event at the Hudson Town Hall on Tuesday, March 17th has been postponed. The new date is TBD.

    Riverton Chamber of Commerce: Chamber Awards Luncheon on Friday, March 20th has been postponed. The new date is TBD.

    Fremont County Weed & Pest: Fremont County Grasshopper Planning Meeting is canceled. Notice can be found here: Fremont County Weed & Pest Meeting Canceled

    Gordmans: Ribbon cutting ceremony on March 17th, is canceled. All other elements of our Grand Opening activities will continue, including honoring our commitment to local high schools in each new store location by providing them with a $1,000 donation to help support their high school activities.

    Fremont County League of Women Voters Meetings: All in-person meetings have been moved to online. Links to connect online can be found here.

    Spring Craft Show & Expo: The event scheduled for Saturday, March 21st, at the Inn at Lander has been canceled.


    Organizations, Businesses & Government:

    High Plains Power: Lobbies are closed until further notice. More information can be found here.

    Popo Agie Conservation District: The office is closed to the public. If you need assistance please call the office at 307-332-3114. We are still working every day on behalf of conservation and our community.

    Shoshone Rose Hotel & Casino: Temporarily closed our doors to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

    Fremont Counseling Service: Face-to-face services, including groups, are suspended until March 27. In place of face-to-face services, we are providing telehealth services to our existing clients and to persons experiencing mental health crises.

    Central Bank & Trust: Our lobbies in our Lander, Riverton, and Fort Washakie locations will be closed to the public effective March 18th, until further notice. Banking services will be available via our drive-through facilities, and in-person by appointment. Please contact your local Branch to schedule an appointment if necessary.     Lander Game & Fish Department: Closed until further notice

    Oak Haven Dental: Due to the high risk and the concern that Dr. Hammond and his staff have for our community, we have closely been following the ADA guidelines and we will be closing our doors to any elective dental procedures at this time. Dr. Hammond will be available for emergencies and can be reached at (801) 228-8433

    City of Riverton offices & Riverton Police Department: Closed to the public

    Wind River Transporation Authority (WRTA): WRTA will be closed for the week of March 16-20.  We will evaluate conditions at the end of the week to determine a future course of action. We thank the public for their patience and understanding. For more information please call 856-7118.

    Wind River Hotel & Casino, Little Wind Casino and 789 Casino: Closed until further notice.

    Fremont County Alliance: Dear community members, Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in an effort to protect all our clients and staff, Fremont County Alliance will be closed to the public beginning Monday, March 16. At this time, advocates are available through our 24-hour crisis hotline. If you are in need of our services, please contact us through our hotline number (307-856-4734) so that we may work to assist you as best we can through this time.     Boys & Girls Club of Eastern Shoshone Tribe: With the safety and health of the Wind River Reservation in mind, the Boys & Girls Club of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe will suspend ALL Club activities until further notice. This includes basketball leagues, Teen Nights, and AfterSchool Programming. Under the advisement of IHS and the Eastern Shoshone Business Council, we have decided this is the best decision for our people. We will meet tomorrow with other Tribal programs and SBC to decide how we can best serve our community at this time. We are so sorry for this inconvenience and we will be right here for you as best we can. Please keep your family safe and follow all guidelines issued by IHS and the SBC.

    Boys & Girls Club of Dubois: Due to the closure of Dubois School and out of precaution, the Club will be closed until schools reopen. All Club activities will also be canceled. Safety for our members, staff, volunteers, and their families is our top priority.

    Warm Valley Lodge: Based on the Department of Health and CDC recommendations WVL is permitting access to residents and essential personnel only. If you have any questions please call us at 455-2645.

    Riverton Airport Cafe: Is temporarily closed along with the counter in the secured area until March 28th.

    Fremont County Library System: Closed through Friday, April 3rd.

    Senior Citizen Centers & Assisted Living Facilities:

    Blackcoal Senior Center & Ethete Senior Center: Congregate meals are suspended effective March 16th. Take-out trays are available to seniors who eat at the centers. Serving times are 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Complete details can be found here: Blackcoal & Ethete Senior Centers

    Lander Senior Citizen Center: All transportation and center activities have been discontinued. Meals will be available for pick-up and home delivery. Full details are found here: Lander Senior Citizens Center – COVID-19 Update

    High Country Senior Citizens Center – Dubois:Will be closed until MAY 1, 2020 or until the emergency ban is lifted. We will continue to offer curbside pickup and home delivery for SENIOR CITIZENS 60 and older and who complete a state require AGNES form. The meal cost is a suggested donation of $4.00 but if the inability to pay is an issue please contact the PROGRAM DIRECTOR MELISSA CLAAR-REED at 307-455-2990 until 12:30 or on her personal cell 307-840-1265. Transportation services will be available on emergency basic only. All out of town trips have been canceled for the month of May as well.

    The building is closed to the public with zero exceptions. Notary services are available at the bank and DUBOIS SUPER FOODS is offering grocery delivery service to senior citizens.
