Court Administrator Clarence Thomas shared the following announcement:
The Wind River Inter-Tribal Court is taking the necessary precautions to help eliminate the potential spread of the COVID-19 Virus.
All Civil Proceedings will be continued to an estimated 2 week date (14 days). All hearings being rescheduled will be notified by mail as to the future hearing date when it is reset.
The only matters that will go forward in court will be Criminal arraignments, Involuntary Commitments by phone if able, and 72-hour protection cases with doing some hearings by phone. Only people that will attend any of the hearings will be the defendant themselves. No family members or observers will be permitted into the court and all others will be asked to remain outside.
The court requests that you utilize the tribal court website to access forms to be filed with and to mail in fees and fines if possible. www.windrivertribalcourt.com/forms/
