Update on the Boysen State Park algal bloom issue

The Fremont County Emergency Management Facebook page has updated us with some new information this morning as to the algae situation at Boysen State Park.

On Monday, County 10 reported that the FCEM team gave a “recreational use advisory” for parts of Boysen Reservoir due to harmful algal bloom testing. That testing found an elevated level of cyanobacteria in part of the reservoir.

The report indicates the only area of the harmful bacteria at this point is near the Brannon boat ramp.
