Two teens killed, two injured in weekend crash near Boysen Reservoir

Two Fremont County 16-year-olds were killed, and two passengers were injured in a one-vehicle accident on “Loop One” Road, near Boysen Reservoir Saturday night.


Fremont County Sheriff’s, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Wyoming State Parks, local fire crews, and local EMS crews were paged at 9:09 p.m. Saturday, June 1st.

The students killed were identified as 16-year-old Braedan Black and 16-year-old Carter Hughes. A 15-year-old male and 14-year-old female were injured and life-flighted. Updates on their condition were not immediately known.

According to a Wyoming State Parks Department spokesperson, none of the four occupants were wearing seat belts.

In an e-mail, Riverton school employees noted that Riverton High School would set up counseling services throughout June for any student in need. A Facebook post says the counseling services are available at 307-856-9491.
