Lander Police Department officers responded to a pair of burglary calls at Main Street restaurants Tuesday morning.

It is suspected that sometime overnight late Monday or early Tuesday, an unknown person or persons, broke into both Tony’s Pizza at 637 Main St, and Thai Chef at 720 E Main St.

A Lander Police spokesperson was not available for comment at this time, and it is unclear if the two calls were related. The two restaurants are 1.2 miles away from each other.

According to the LPD report, Tony’s Pizza reported that their “back door was busted open and the glass is broken.” The release did not include information on if any property was stolen and how much damage there was in total.

A short time later Tuesday morning, Thai Chef reported that someone had also broken into their restaurant. The call log explains the situation by saying an employee, “just got to the restaurant and all the money is gone.”

County 10 hopes to work with law enforcement to learn if there are any suspects and how much damage both of these businesses received. We will update a new story when we learn additional details.
