Efforts are still underway to gather signatures on a petition to put the 1/2 Cent Economic Development Sales Tax onto the ballot in August. Your Riverton Chamber of Commerce and Riverton Medical District volunteers are working hard to get enough petition signatures from registered voters to make this happen!

The tax would be distributed among all Fremont County Municipalities and support economic development projects benefiting our communities. Read more about the proposed tax at this link.

How can you help? Take some time out of your Friday to sign the petition. There are two ways to do this:

From 8am to 4pm, the Riverton Chamber of Commerce will be at the Hampton Inn on North Federal Boulevard. You can easily park your car in the portico, walk through the automatic doors, and quickly sign with minimal contact and a disinfected pen available.

From 6pm to 8pm, volunteers from the Riverton Medical District will be out on both ends of Main Street during the Friday night cruise with petitions available. Look for the signs that will be near Phil’s Dog Shack and Daylight Donuts on the East End of Main Street, and The Roasted Bean and Iron Works Gym to the West End of Main Street.

If you cannot make it to any of those locations, there are petitions available right now at BTI (642 S. Federal), Vincent Law Offices (301 E. Adams), and with Edward Jones Financial Advisor Mick Pryor (109 S. 6th E).

While social distancing makes this challenging, we are committed to your safety and health. We will take as many precautions as we can, but please help us push Fremont County towards a bright future.
