    Two crashes reported on US 26 Saturday including responding ambulance

    The Dubois Fire Department has released information about two separate crashes that occurred on U.S. Highway 26 Saturday. The first wreck was a one-vehicle rollover, the second involved an ambulance that was responding to the first crash. Dubois Fire reports there were no injuries.


    Release from Dubois Fire Department:

    At 13:44 hrs Dubois Fire Department responded with an Engine and Rescue unit to a report of a vehicle accident roll over at Mile post 30 on U.S. Hwy 26.

    Fire units arrived on scene and found single vehicle on its roof blocking the West bound lane, there were no injuries. A Fremont County Sheriffs unit and WYDOT were on scene.

    Immediately upon arrival, Dubois fire units were notified of a second vehicle accident roll over involving the Ambulance that was responding to the first incident. All Dubois Fire units responded to that incident. Upon arrival fire units found an ambulance on it’s side partially blocking the East bound lane of Hwy 26. The crew of the Ambulance was not injured in the incident. Fire units remained on scene to assist with traffic control until the wreck could be cleared and an EMS supervisor arrived on scene.

    At the time of both incidents, the Highway was slick with packed snow and a moderate snow fall.
