Scanner traffic and commuters have reported travel delays between Hudson and Riverton today as well as on Blue Sky Highway. If you are traveling either of those routes today, you may want to give yourself some extra travel time.
Paving is complete on both sides of the Rodgers and Gregg bridge between Riverton and Hudson, and traffic should be moving without delay by Friday evening on the $6.8 million Wyoming 789 project.

Besides construction of 1.8 miles of passing lanes, the project’s scope of work included a 3-inch pavement overlay, chip seal finish, grading, draining, placing crushed gravel base, fencing, bridge repair and other work on about seven miles of WY789.
“Chip sealing of this project and final striping will be completed after June 1, 2020,” said Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Erik Smith of Lander. “Please adhere to posted speed limits on WY789, and buckle up.”
Prime contractor is McGarvin-Moberly Construction Co., of Worland, and the dirt subcontractor is High Country Construction, Inc., of Lander.
In the coming week, McGarvin-Moberly will be moving its paving operation to the Ethete South (Blue Sky Highway) improvement project. Paving on WY132 is scheduled to begin Oct. 14.
