2019 high school football Shrine Bowl rosters were released this week and there are three Fremont County student-athletes invited to the all-star game.
Lander will be represented by Max Mazurie and Conrad Swenson. Riverton will send Treyton Paxton. The former-rivals will compete together for the north team, versus schools from the southern half of Wyoming. The south team will be coached by Big Piney’s Aaron Makely and the north team by Buffalo’s Rob Hammond.
36 players will make up the initial rosters, with a possibility that not everyone will make the game, there is still the potential of late additions.
The 2019 game will be held Saturday, June 8th at Dick Cheney Memorial Field in Casper, at Natrona County High School.
During the week of activities, athletes visit patients at the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. The game serves as a fundraiser for the hospital as well.
The north team has won the last six straight games in the annual contest.
