    The Power of Travel: The Wind River Visitors Council applauds employers and employees as part of National Travel and Tourism Week

    Last year, the travel and tourism industry directly supported 1,410 jobs in Fremont County,  resulting in $48.8 million in wages. Though 2020 tells a unique story, the trend in visitor spending from 2000 to 2020 saw a 51 percent increase. The travel industry is an essential aspect of the Fremont County economy, and that should be celebrated.

    About the Wind River Visitors Council 

    The Wind River Visitors Council’s (WRVC) mission is to stimulate tourism by increasing awareness of and encouraging visitation to, the unique destinations, activities, and events in Fremont County/Wind River Country, Wyoming. The WRVC is a Joint Powers Lodging Tax Board responsible for promoting the travel and tourism industry in Fremont County through expenditures of the lodging tax.
