If there ever was a way to capture all the colors of the summer garden

A big thank you to this week’s sponsor The Middle Fork for bringing you this content on County 10.

“This pattern looks like the farmers market”, Tara Stueckler

Purchase a raffle ticket and you could win a beautiful handmade quilt by Tara Stueckler. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for 5 and available for purchase at the market booth on Saturday mornings. The winner will be drawn at our Harvest Party September 15. You need not be present to win.

Tara loves quilting, and she loves the Lander Valley Farmers Market. Tara already had the pattern and started the quilt last year when a neighbor girl wanted to help cut out the fabric pieces. The project got tucked away and Tara brought it out in early spring to work on when it was too early to get in the garden.

The pattern includes a carrot, an ear of corn, a sunflower and all the colors of the summer garden. The more Tara worked on the quilt, the more she thought “This pattern looks like the farmers market” and decided to donate a portion of the proceeds to the market.

We look forward to seeing you Saturday! Grab your cloth bags and get ready to shop from 9-11:30 in Lander City Park. There will be sweet corn!
