The gun cracked at 6:00 am for the Lander Half-Marathon start
Over 100 runners departed 2nd & Main streets this morning on their 13-mile journey around the Squaw-Baldwin loop. They’re competing in the Lander Community Foundation’s Challenge for Charities Half Marathon. They’re also supporting local non-profits and charities, as proceeds from the race, and other contributions, benefit the Lander Community Foundation’s Challenge for Charities, which has distributed $1.4M to dozens of these local organizations.
Race organizers reported that over 800 runners combined had already registered or were expected to register today to compete in the half-marathon, 5k and the Kids’ 1-Mile Mad Dash.
