The Fremont County Ducks Unlimited Chapter wins elite fundraiser award

Ducks Unlimited is the leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation and the Fremont County chapter just received an award for elite fundraising!

Cheryl Coleman is the chair of the Fremont County chapter, she’s an active hunter that has a serious passion to conserve and protect hunting in general but in particular the wetlands and waterfowl of Wyoming. With her guiding forces, the Fremont County chapter went from raising $14,000 in 2017 to $50,000 by 2020. Plus the 2020 year fundraising was leveraged by DU government and private partners to increase that to over $500,000 originating from Fremont County. The members and volunteers in our area earned the ‘Elite Fundraising” award.

The banquet for Fremont County is coming up but with a year hiatus they could use some help. Reach out to [email protected] and express interest or you can click here. There are so many areas to help when it comes to conservation and remember you don’t have to be an avid hunter to join. Ducks Unlimited also has a youth program, areas of education and conserve areas for wetlands but also conserve more areas for families to see birds and nature.
