The first baseball action of the soon-to-be summer came Saturday morning at the Babe Ruth Complex on Major Avenue in Riverton with the visiting Lander Lobos and the host Riverton squad opening the season.

For the season opener between the two Fremont County teams there were some excellent fielding, double-plays and hitting on display.

Riverton won the contest 8-2.
