According to the National Weather Service office in Riverton, Thanksgiving for Riverton and Lander will be slightly warmer than average.

Both communities are expected to reach the mid-40’s in the late afternoon. Lander’s average high on “turkey-day” is 40 degrees, and Riverton’s is 39.

That said, neither community appears to be in jeopardy of breaking the all-time high, which was set in Lander last year at a balmy 68 degrees. Riverton’s all-time high on Thanksgiving was set in 2006 at 64 degrees.
