    Job Description:


    In today’s fast-changing healthcare industry, costs are going up, reimbursements are going down, and patients are facing greater financial burdens. Our job at Teton Therapy is to ensure every patient leaves happy and healthy with the ability to get back to living their fullest lives. In this position, you will be working directly with patients, insurance companies, and owners to ensure that all claims are billed daily, payments are collected in a timely manner, and patients understand their financial responsibilities when coming to physical and occupational therapy.

    Full-time, $14 – $16 / hour

    Location: 1406 W Main St, Riverton, WY 82501

    Precise tasks, duties, and responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:

    • Insurance is verified prior to a patient’s initial evaluation, or within 24 hours of receiving the required information
    • Pre-authorizations filed within 24 hours of receiving information
    • All claims are clean and billed daily
    • Claims issues are handled on a daily basis
    • Patient statements reviewed and mailed monthlyHandle patient and insurance phone calls regarding accounts
    • Following up on denied claims
    • Collection calls made weekly
    • Follow up on accounts at collection agency monthly

    Challenges in this position:

    Every position holds its own set of unique challenges. The challenges facing the Billing & Patient Accounts Representative include, but are not limited to:

    • Overseeing the income from several different clinics and businesses
    • Dealing with different management styles in each clinic and business
    • Ensuring money is collected from patients
    • Maintaining a positive attitude in difficult situations
    • Being firm yet gentle with patients regarding their accounts
    • Making decisions that affect patients
    • Staying organized and being able to find where all accounts stand in a timely manner
    • Working with strong-willed individuals
    • Problem-solving and directly handling situations as they arise
    • Waiting on others to get the required information

    Requirements & Qualifications of Successful Applicants:

    • Clearly speak, read, and write English

    • Basic use of computers and other relevant technology
    • Knowledge and comfort with Microsoft programs, especially Excel and Word
    • Knowledge and comfort with G-Suites, particularly Gmail, Drive, and Hangouts
