Traffic between Shoshoni and Riverton on US-26/WY-789 is currently slowed as a southbound vehicle began eluding local law enforcement just before 5:00 pm this evening, according to scanner traffic.
The vehicle finally stopped near Haymaker Road north of Riverton. Scanner traffic was indicating there were two occupants in the vehicle (we will confirm the number of occupants with local law enforcement) that reportedly fled on foot into a neighboring field and have since been arrested. Expect traffic delays in the area.
County 10 will share an update as more information is released by local law enforcement.
