An update from the Lander Police Department (LPD) today, May 29th, confirms “a suspect has been placed into custody without incident with respect to the incident that occurred in the 100 block of Jefferson Street on Thursday, May 28th.” No name was released in the update from LPD.
Officers responded to a “shots fired” call around 5:50 am, but were unable to locate a victim in the area, according to their release. A victim was later found on North Second Street outside city limits in Fremont County. They were taken in for medical treatment. No further information has been released about their condition.
