Release from Battalion 3 Lander Rural Fire:

On March 20, 2020, at 7:05 a.m., Battalion Three Lander Rural responded to a report of a Structure Fire in the 2000 block of Sinks Canyon. Lander Rural and Lander City Fire units arrived within 7 minutes of the initial alarm. Upon arrival, Companies found a Single Family Dwelling well involved with fire. Firefighters mounted an aggressive interior attack on the fire while quickly searching the structure to ensure no occupants were trapped inside. There was significant damage throughout the home, which has been deemed uninhabitable. Fire units were on scene approximately 6 hours, there were no firefighter injuries reported.

A total of 38 firefighters from Battalion 3 Lander Rural, Battalion 10 Hudson, Battalion One, and Lander Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. We would also like to thank AMR Ambulance, Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and Lander Police Department who also assisted at the scene.
