Libby Littler recently presented to a local 4-H club and Central Wyoming College staff the Stop The Bleed course.
Stop the Bleed is a campaign under the Department of Homeland Security. It is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
Through the Stop the Bleed course, you gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively. The person next to a bleeding victim may be the one who’s most likely to save him or her. Take the course and become empowered to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency occurs.
SageWest will be partnering with Classic Air and Guardian Flight in February to teach the Stop The Bleed course at the 2020 Farm and Ranch Days. The 36th Annual Fremont County Farm & Ranch Days are February 5th & 6th at the Fremont County Fairgrounds. For more information, contact the Fremont County Extension offices at (307) 332-2363 (Lander) or (307) 857-3654 (Riverton).
