Stop by the Summer Farmers Market at City Park! Fresh, fun, homegrown goods.

Thank you to Wyoming Community Bank for sponsoring this content.

The summer market season is off to a running start! The Wednesday Market meets in Riverton City Park every Wednesday, rain or shine, from 5-7pm. Last week’s first market of the season saw a total of 22 producers selling everything from fresh asparagus to meat and milk!

In spite of a quick downpour at the beginning of the hour, over 125 shoppers eagerly bought fresh, locally produced foods. With Memorial Day picnics coming this weekend, the market is a GREAT place to get locally produced and processed grass-fed beef.

Bobby Thoman of Lost Wells Cattle Co will have burger, brisket (perfect for a crowd) and filets, all completely grass raised and finished.  Accompany your picnic with pickles from the Pickle People, fresh salad greens and ice cream for dessert from Lake View Gardens.  Lots of folks are selling eggs which you can devil, or add to potato salad.  Enjoy a feast of Fremont County foods!

Make sure to stop by this Wednesday evening and see what our local farmers, growers, and bakers can do!  Your dollars stay in our county, supporting other businesses and improving our economic health!
