St. Stephens Indian High School announced this week that basketball practice will not start on time due to the shelter-in-place order on the Wind River Reservation.
The announcement posted from the school is below in bold;
“Attention Athletes, Guardians, and Community Members!!!
High School Basketball Practice is supposed to start Monday, November 23rd. Due to the Shelter-in-Place we will not start winter sports at this time.
If we do not have a decision from the Tribe by Monday, November 30th we will cancel all December games.
The official start of practice/winter sport season will be dependent on the Shelter-In-Place being lifted.
