St. Margaret’s Catholic School is still accepting registrations for the upcoming school year! All their upper grades are full, but Kindergarten and Pre-K have a few openings each.
Kindergarten students at St. Margaret’s are taught by Mrs. Karen Huxtable, by one of the best elementary educators Fremont County has ever produced. Karen Huxtable was raised in Riverton and has been teaching for 34 years. She holds a BA in Elementary Ed and Special Education and has endorsements in reading and special ed.
One parent of a student in Mrs. Huxtable’s class for the 19/20 school year said, “we can’t say enough good things about Karen. Our son really came out of his shell and we attribute it to her special love for her students and incredible classroom management. Even after starting virtual classes, she went so far above and beyond for the students. Thank you, Mrs. Huxtable!!”
Pre-K at St. Margaret’s is led by Ms. Margaret Martinez, known affectionately as Ms. Maggie. Ms. Martinez has taught preschool for over 18 years. She has worked for Child Development Services and Early Intervention, as well as owned and operated her own childcare center.
The dad of a past student said of Ms. Maggie that, “our daughter may not have been successful without Ms. Maggie. She is very shy and did not want to socialize or engage in class. Ms. Maggie showed her patience and encouragement which made a deep impression and helped her feel confident. She still talks about Ms. Maggie 5 years later.”
