Special Olympics Wyoming has suspended all activities through May

Special Olympics President and CEO Priscilla Dowse announced this afternoon that the “difficult decision to suspend all activities through the end of May” has been made. This includes: training, competition, and fundraising events.

“This difficult decision was made with an overriding concern and consideration of the safety and well being our athlete and our communities,” Priscilla Dowse says in the letter. “For many of our athletes, training is their only outlet to combat the social isolation and health and wellness challenges they face daily. More now than ever, we must work together to support our athletes and keep connected as a community.”

Summer Games will not be rescheduled, but there could be potential add-ons to the Summer Sports Classic and Fall Tournament.
