The Riverton Splash Pad mural crew were working early Saturday on the community’s latest beautification project in Riverton City Park.
Community ambassador Rusty Wuertz, Riverton High School Fine Art teacher Patrick Cosner, and Riverton Middle School art teacher Tacy Moore are working to complete the project on a tight deadline, by the May 24th splash pad opening.
The project was approved in mid-April, and a great deal of progress has already been made.
Earlier this week, some of the splash pad equipment began to be installed.
A ribbon cutting and celebration for the City Park addition is scheduled for Friday, May 24th at 5:30 p.m. The celebration takes place on the final day of classes for Riverton-area schools. The “Alive at Five” community concert is also scheduled in Riverton City Park on May 24th.
