Justus Jacobs proudly displays his pumpkin in front of State Farm Insurance in Lander. The Food Bank Board came by last week with the local grower Scott Lewis for a photo.
For the last 15 years, Scott and Francine Lewis have grown huge pumpkins in Hudson, Wyoming. Local businesses buy and display the pumpkins as a way to give back to the community. All proceeds then go straight to the Lander Care and Share Food Bank. This year alone, they raised $2,492 for the Food Bank.
It’s a win-win thing for all the kids in the community and the Food Bank.
– Scott Lewis
If you see one of these pumpkins around your community, give thanks for the good work being done to help others.
