Baldwin Creek Elementary (BCE) Parents in Education group sponsors a fundraiser every spring shared BCE PE teacher Misty Antip. Funds from this years’ fundraiser went to purchasing a Gaga Ball Pit for the playground.

Misty explained the game is played in an octagon structure. “It is played with a soft ball and involves a combination of dodging, jumping. striking and running. It is fast-paced and if you get out, the next game will start very soon and everyone will be back in. I introduced the game to the kids through PE and it has carried over to recess.”

Since the pit was assembled a few weeks ago there have been over 70 students playing or waiting to play during recess. Misty said, “The best part is seeing kids that don’t normally join into a group game at recess, dominate the Gaga Ball Pit.”
