Multiple wildfires are spread across the western side of the United States right now. Yesterday, August 20th, smoke from those fires began moving across Wyoming with the bulk of it coming in overnight.
The National Weather Service Riverton (NWSR) shared this morning, August 21st, the smoke will continue filling the Fremont County air throughout the day (forecast video below). At this time, no air quality alerts have been issued for Wyoming. However, they have been issued for bordering areas of Idaho and Colorado.
NWSR attributed the initial smoke to the many California fires in yesterday’s update. Today, the NWSR has added smoke from Nevada, Oregon, and Idaho wildfires as well.
