#Smiles: Willow Creek students give back to Riverton with random acts of kindness [Videos]

A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Rendezvous Dental.

Students at Riverton’s Willow Creek Elementary School celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Week in Riverton by helping people all over town with various tasks on Friday.

Students helped provide goodie bags and notes to wildland firefighters, those in hospice care, guardian flight nurses, chemotherapy patients, the Riverton Police Department, Fremont County Sheriff’s Office employees, and the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Students also volunteered at the Riverton Fire Department to wash fire trucks. They read books to animals at PAWS Animal Shelter, placed inspirational notes in books at the Riverton Branch Library, read to younger children at Aspen Early Learning Center, and helped stock shelves at the Christian Food Store.

Last week, Riverton Mayor Rich Gard delivered a speech and proclamation for Random Acts of Kindness Week at Willow Creek. The school also boasts a large paper willow tree inside, with each leaf of the tree revealing a random act of kindness written on it. Many other Riverton elementary schools also participated in Random Acts of Kindness Week.
