#Smiles: Two Fremont County student athletes maintain positions on WHSAA Student Advisory Committee

A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Olsen Orthodontics.

(Fremont County, WY) – The Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) recently welcomed the new members for its Student Advisory Committee, and two Fremont County student athletes elected to the Committee last year will be staying on board.

Congratulations again to Maren Baker, from Dubois High School, and Layla C’Bearing, from Wyoming Indian High School, for sticking around going into the 2022/23 school year.

The WHSAA Student Advisory Council is made up of 16 student leaders from around the state. The focus is to improve sportsmanship at events. The council will meet several times during the school year and will facilitate a Statewide Sportsmanship Summit in the fall, where each school will send their student leaders.

The goal is for council members to facilitate the sharing and ideas that have been working around the state. Those student leaders will then take an action plan back to their school and implement strategies to improve sportsmanship at their schools and events.

The full committee is listed below.
