#Smiles: Three WRHS students selected for Wyoming All-State Marching Band

A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Rendezvous Dental.

(Pavillion, WY) – Three Wind River High School (WRHS) band students have officially been selected to perform with the 2022 Wyoming All-State Marching Band (WASMB).

The three students nominated and selected are Junior Sidnee Flint on Clarinet, Sophomore Mina King on trumpet, and Freshman Kayden Sixberry on percussion.

Not only will the students each receive $1,000 scholarships, they will also have the chance to perform at parades in Sheridan, Cody, Cheyenne, and even Disney World in Orlando, FL.

The WASMB was formed in 1990 and brings students together from all over the state to perform in various venues.

Besides local summer parades, past bands have performed in The Tournament of Roses (Rose Bowl) Parade in Pasadena, California, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in New York City, and other venues in Honolulu, Hawaii, Washington, D.C. as well as Scotland and Ireland.

The 2022 WASMB offered ten $1000 scholarships to students from 1A/2A size schools, and students were selected based on recommendations from their high school music teachers.

County 10 has not heard back from WASMB regarding any other local students selected, please let us know of any other kiddos who were recognized.

Congratulations Cougars!
