#Smiles: Stampede win AA hockey tournament Sunday

A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Rendezvous Dental.

The Wyoming Stampede 10U-A Squirt travel hockey team won the NA Prep AA Spring Invitational in Whitefish, Montana this past weekend.

The first game for the Stampede was Friday, April 2nd at 6 pm in the Stumptown Ice Den. The opposing team, the Spokane Jr Chiefs, took the win with a final score of 10-4.

The Stampede had a packed Saturday with three games. The first was at 9 am against NA Prep West – the Stampede won with a final score of 8-4.

At 3 pm on Saturday, the Stampede clobbered the NA Prep Black with a final score of 17-1.

Their 3rd game on Saturday and 4th game overall for the tournament was the deciding factor in who played in Sunday’s championship game.

For a 2nd time, the Stampede beat NA Prep West with a final score of 6-2.

Yesterday’s championship game started at 9:30 am and they played the Spoke Jr Chiefs for the 2nd time this tournament. The Stampede took home the championship title with a final score of 7-2.
