    #Smiles: St. Stephens High School athlete signs with CWC

    A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Rendezvous Dental.

    St. Stephens High School senior Darien Barraza has signed to run cross country with Central Wyoming College (CWC). While at CWC he plans to study athletic training and is most looking forward “to be at the next level of cross country,” he shared.

    “They got a good runner,” St. Stephens Cross Country Coach Charlie Oldman said. “He’s gonna put in the work to get it done. I have faith in him.”

    During the signing today, April 28th, it was shared by St. Stephens staff that Darien is possibly the first cross country athlete from St. Stephens to sign with a college. He is at least the first since the sport came back to the school four years ago.

    He also plans to try out for the CWC Basketball Team.
