#Smiles: Rendezvous Elementary collected over 1,300 items for their food drive

A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Rendezvous Dental.

Earlier this month, County 10 shared the 3rd annual Gobble Gobble Give Food Drive at Rendezvous Elementary was in progress and they were seeking community assistance in reaching their 3,000 pounds of food goal for the Riverton community.

The food drive wrapped up today, November 24th, and we don’t know at this time if the 3,000-pound goal was met. We do know all the students, community members, and a local business helped raise a lot of food – 1,385 items total to be exact.

The 5th-grade group “Awesome Alpacas” were the landslide champions, according to Principal Karly Ward. They had a total of 472 items.

In addition, a few students went on a grocery shopping adventure yesterday and Rendezvous Dental Owner Dr. Colton Crane paid for the food they picked out.

Food drive organizer Jennifer Schanno and Principal Ward shared their gratitude to the community and Rendezvous Dental for donating to their food drive.

Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies will pick-up the rest of the food and distribute to local residents in need.

    Nice work everyone!
