Tucker, a soon-to-be Wind River High School junior, has wrestled since he was in 7th grade.

“It felt really rewarding that my efforts are paying off,” he shared with County 10. “It felt good that I got 2nd.”

In February, Tucker won the 2021 2A state championship for his weight class and was named a 2021 2A all-state athlete by the Wyoming Coaches Association.

His parents Vay and Amber Jensen shared how proud they are of Tucker’s accomplishments.

“I’m really proud of his ethics,” Vay shared with County 10. “He’s humble in winning and gracious in losing.”

Amber also expressed her appreciation for Tucker’s wrestling coaches as well and how they genuinely care about their athletes.

“They teach them that wrestling is really important, but that schooling and real life is even more important. Sometimes you learn and grow more if you lose a match and tried your best.”

“Tucker never gives up,” she continued. “I hope he continues to live his life like that; it has helped him a lot in life. He loves the sport and loves the coaches.”
