It was a good weekend for several youth soccer teams from Riverton and Lander. Boys and girls teams performed well at the annual Tuf Wars event hosted by the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
In boys action, the Riverton Rampage 10U team won the gold bracket championship after knocking off Laramie in the semi’s and Casper’s SC Blades in the championship.
Another Riverton 10U squad also took home the silver bracket championship after defeating a Laramie team 9-2.
The Lander Striker’s U12 boys team won the silver bracket after beating FC Brighton 8-5 in their championship match.
In girls action, the Riverton Rampage 10U team won the silver bracket, after beating Casper’s SC Blades 4-2 in the championship match, and Laramie in the semi-finals.
Lander’s U12 girls claimed second place in the silver bracket after falling to the SC Storm girls 6-1 in the championship match.
