A series to share #smiles across our community through the achievements of our local youth, brought to you by Olsen Orthodontics.
(Lander, WY) – It was a big weekend of summer softball with the USA Softball of Wyoming State Tournament held in Gillette. The Lander Legends 8U and 16U teams both placed in their age divisions.
On Saturday, the 8U team had a long day of games starting at 12:45 pm and lasting until about 10 pm. They pushed through the exhaustion of those four games and placed 2nd in their fifth and final game against the Laramie All-Stars.
The 16U team had two days of games with two each day on both Saturday and Sunday. Only two points separated them from moving to the final game. They placed 3rd overall.
The tournament came to an end for both of the 12U & 14U teams. Both of which are highly competitive age brackets, shared coach Michele Snyder.
County 10 will share additional information about other local softball teams when we hear back from their coaches.
