Small plane crash off runway 4 at Yellowstone Regional Airport
On Sunday evening, August 27th, Cody Police Department officers were dispatched to the Yellowstone Regional Airport, where a small airplane crash had been reported.
Officers determined a Search and Rescue plane was returning from Mormon Creek and when landing ran off runway 4. The pilot William Holder was not injured as well as no one on the ground.
The plane was severely damaged as well as some minor fuel leakage, but luckily there was no fire. The runaway was cleaned up, the preliminary investigation was done, and the airpot was able to be reopened. The case is still under investigation.
