Do you suffer from any of these conditions?
-High Blood Pressure
-Increase in Blood Sugar
-Coronary Artery Disease
If you answered yes to any of these, it’s possible that Sleep Apnea may be the culprit.
Wait, what’s sleep apnea?
Sleep Apnea [AP-nee-uhh] is a common disorder in which a person’s airway is constricted or closed off. This can reduce or, at times, stop breathing for short periods during sleep. Breathing pauses can last from a few seconds to minutes and may occur 30 times or more an hour! Typically, normal breathing starts again, sometimes with a loud snort or choking sound. There are currently 2 options for treatment.
Only 1 of 2 options is comfortable.
1) Uncomfortable for the wearer, nightmare-inducing for the spouse, and annoying for both – is the CPAP mask.
2) The Sleep Appliance however comes highly recommended by Dr. Colton Crane of Rendezvous Dental, studies by the U.S. Department of Health, and this very happy and well-rested patient of Rendezvous Dental.
