Shoshoni council approves new business licenses

The Shoshoni Town Council approved several new business licenses during its regular meeting Tuesday.

The first business license was for Brian Cooper, who is going to sell sporting goods and collectibles out of his real estate office at 102 E. Third St.

Another business license was for Matt DuBeau, who plans to open a vehicle wash and detail center at 206 W. Second St.

The council also approved a business license for Cindy Simcox, who owns High Desert Housing on 2 Valley Road and is installing mid-level mobile home housing on the east side of town. Staff said her business license application was “lost in the shuffle” when she applied for building permits, “so we contacted her, and she submitted it.”

The council tabled a building license for Sheri Baldez, who wants to move a 14 by 67 foot trailer to a lot on Sixth Street. Council members said they wanted more time to examine the trailer to ensure it is in good condition.

The meeting agenda is available online.
