    Sheriff’s monthly Commission Report indicates fewer bookings, emergency calls for October

    (Fremont County, WY) – Sheriff Ryan Lee of the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) gave the monthly Commision Report at the November 9th Fremont County Commissioners’ meeting.

    In total, the Sheriff’s Office has responded to 6,600 calls for service this year.

    There were a total of 155 bookings for the month of October, down three from the previous month.

    Of these bookings, 69 were for RPD, 47 for FCSO, 37 for LPD, 2 for WHP, and 3 for SPD.

    The current inmate population sits at 176 in house, and 180 total in custody. This includes one juvenile occupant, one in the State Hospital, and two “out-of-county adults.”

    In terms of sentencing demographics, of the 180 in house inmates, 45 have been sentenced, and 111 are pre-adjudicated, with 56% awaiting disposition in District Court, 32% in Riverton Circuit Court, 15% in Lander Circuit Court, and 1% in Riverton Municipal Court.

    So far there have been 15 search and rescue missions for this fiscal year, compared to 21 this time last year. Of these missions, air resources were utilized six times, and there have been three fatalities.

    There were a total of 2,058 Emergency Dispatch Center calls for the month of October, with 1,300 emergency 911 calls answered.

    There are currently no COVID-19 issues reported at this time.
