    Sheriff’s Monthly Commission Report: Bookings, calls for service down

    (Lander, WY) – Sheriff Ryan Lee of the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) gave the monthly Commission Report at the January 11th Fremont County Commissioners’ meeting.

    In total, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 7,448 calls for service in 2021. That is 386 fewer calls than 2020.

    There were a total of 138 bookings for the month of December, down 13 from the previous month.

    Of these bookings, 59 were for RPD, 42 for FCSO, 33 for LPD, 6 for WHP, 1 for USM, and 3 for SPD.

    The current inmate population sits at 176 in house, and 181 total in custody. This includes three juvenile occupants, one on home confinement, and one “out-of-county adult.”

    In terms of sentencing demographics, 53 inmates have been sentenced, and 99 are pre-adjudicated, with 47% awaiting disposition in District Court, 46% in Riverton Circuit Court, 5% in Lander Circuit Court, and 1% in Riverton Municipal Court.

    There were 16 search and rescue missions for this fiscal year, compared to 25 the last fiscal year. Of these missions, air resources were utilized six times, and there have been three fatalities.
