(Fremont County, WY) – Round one of the 2021 Mascot Challenge wraps up Thursday at 3:00 p.m. and several teams are in danger of being eliminated.
The four teams with the least amount of votes in the first round will be eliminated from contention. The remaining eight teams will be seeded based on the number of votes they receive and enter head-to-head match-ups beginning Friday.
After 48 hours of voting, we’ve had nearly 10,000 votes cast!
As of Thursday at 6:30 a.m. the Frontier Academy Phoenix are sitting in a commanding first place with over 40% of the overall vote.
Shoshoni’s Wranglers are also in good shape with 26% of the overall vote.
Wind River’s Cougars, Riverton’s Wolverines, and Wyoming Indian’s Chiefs are in a log-jam for the middle of the pack.
Meanwhile, Fort Washakie’s Eagles, Pathfinder’s Panthers, Dubois’ Rams, Lander’s Tigers, St. Stephen’s Eagles, Arpaho Charter’s Warriors, and CWC’s Rustlers are in danger of elimination as of Thursday morning.
