Several reports of theft from a motor vehicle reported this week across Fremont County

Local law enforcement is again reminding citizens to keep valuables out of your vehicle at night, if possible, and to make sure your vehicle doors are locked.

Three separate thefts from a motor vehicle have been reported in the Lander area this week (Sunday-Tuesday.) One of the thefts reported several hundred dollars worth of cash missing, and another noted the vehicle-owner believed a written prescription was stolen.

Tuesday afternoon, a truck on Main Street reported a break-in, in which a wallet and other miscellaneous items were stolen.

There were two thefts reported in the Riverton rural area Tuesday afternoon. A gun and binoculars were reported missing from a vehicle on Skyline Drive, west of Riverton. And, a wallet was stolen from a vehicle according to a report from a resident near Whitetail Dr, southwest of Riverton.

The majority of these calls happened with vehicles that were unlocked. Thefts in most of the cases appeared to have happened overnight.
