(Lander, WY) – The Sand Creek Fire started the afternoon of Thursday, September 9th, in a remote area of the Wind River Range west of Lander. It remains 0% contained as of 11:20 am on Monday, September 13th.
The cause of the fire is still listed as “under investigation” and personnel has increased from a reported 140 on Sunday to 170. Updated fire acreage is expected to be completed later today, according to an update from the Shoshone National Forest.
