    SageWest Health Care names Amanda Vick Chief Nursing Officer

    SageWest Health Care announced that Amanda Vick has been named chief nursing officer (CNO) for SageWest Health Care, effective August 20.

    “I am thrilled to have Amanda in this new leadership role and assume the position of system CNO for SageWest Health Care. Amanda brings a wealth of frontline care, management, and mentorship experience to the role of CNO,” said Alan Daugherty, chief executive officer (CEO) of SageWest. “Her innate leadership skills, her oversight experience of clinical teams and programs, and her passion to achieve and sustain exceptional improvement in clinical outcomes for our patients are tremendous assets to our communities.”

    Vick is a registered nurse with more than 20 years of clinical leadership in healthcare. Prior to accepting her new position, Vick served as the assistant chief nursing officer and most recently as the interim system chief nursing officer at SageWest Health Care.

    Vick earned her bachelor’s degrees of science in biology at Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn. and of nursing at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in Oshkosh, Wis. She earned her master of business administration degree from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colo.

    “My hope for each day is that I am able to make a difference and have a positive impact on the people I encounter, whether patients, colleagues or other healthcare providers,” Vick says. “I am excited to be in this new role and look forward to leading our nursing team as we work to continuously improve the quality of care we deliver to our friends, family and neighbors across Fremont County and surrounding areas.”
